BENDER

"We’re not afraid to take chances, musically, which might put us on the edge of pop-rock…" says Bender singer Tracey Wolf. Fresh from the "Meat Pit" where they recorded their first demo, Bender is ready to take over the pop/rock music scene. Their unique sound is a result of the many different musical styles each member of the band contributes.
|
| Influenced by Stevie Ray Vaughan and Matthias Jabs, guitarist Steve Shaver’s blues-y and versatile style is paired with guitarist Steve Goldstein’s funk and experimental, Mike Patton influenced riffs and placed along side Mike Bayer’s eclectic art-rock and Dream Theatre-influenced bass playing. This, backed by drummer Nick Kovachi’s Neil Peart influenced, syncopated beats and put together with Tracey’s pop/rock, Pat Benatar influenced vocal style and phrasing, places Bender in a genre all their own. Their innate passion for what they are creating gives the music an emotional twist and that, combined with the vast skill and talent from each of its members and the massive vocal ability of Tracey, makes Bender truly great. Their explosiveness and catchy, melodic grooves solidifies that this band will be around for the long haul. Ask anyone who’s seen them live and they’ll admit, Bender isn’t just another pop/rock band. |

Bassist Mike Bayer claims, "We create music that sticks to your ribs!" And Tracy Wolf adds, "It’s all very sincere and personal and we hope that the people who hear it can really appreciate that…because we are so passionate about what we create, I think that’s what appeals to the listeners… it’s evident through our music."
