AWAKE: The Ultimate Godsmack Tribute Band
|
|
Awake started out back in the year 2000. At that time, they were the only Godsmack tribute band in the United States. The only other Godsmack tribute band that was out there (and still is out there), is Dogsmack from Canada. Since then, there were numerous Godsmack tribute bands that have followed.
Awake was formed by three good friends on Long Island, New York. The original line-up featured Brad Maestro (guitar), Doug Osborne (vocals) and Joe Cusimano (bass). They later recurited Mike Furey (drums). With this line-up, Awake played endless clubs and venues throughout the northeast including places like The Chance Theater (Poughkeepsie, NY), The Spot (Springfield, Mass.), and The Village Pub (Pt. Jeff, LI)...just to name a few. Everywhere and anywhere up and down the east coast, Awake fans came out to enjoy the music created by Godsmack. |

After two years and dozens of shows, Awake decided to take a break. About a year later, Awake reformed and added a new frontman, Rob Malvagno. Due to personal reasons, Rob had left the band after only one show. Upon Rob's leaving, Awake had parted ways with drummer Mike Furey. Once again, Awake was out of commission and things were looking pretty grim. |

But just a few months later, Awake joined forces with two new members: Mike Greiner (vocalist/ guitarist/ percussionist) and Dave Favilla (drummer). At the time, Mike and Dave were out to form a Godsmack tribute act of their own, and as fate would have it...their paths crossed. All it took was one rehearsal to realize that Mike and Dave were clearly the right ones to fill Sully and Shannon's shoes.
Now with this killer new line-up in place, Awake is ready to divide and conquer! Not one other Godsmack tribute band can come closer to sounding like the original than Awake does. HANDS DOWN!!!!!!! | Contact AWAKE: The Ultimate Godsmack Tribute Band Awake: The Ultimate Godsmack Tribute Band
