27 WEST is the writing team of guitarist John Merjave and keyboardist Kevin Thomas. Their primary influences are the Beatles, Billy Joel, STP, Glen Burtnik, Journey, and Bon Jovi. The list could go on and on. Their music, however, is an amalgamation that spans across many musical genres. Their first release, self-titled 27 WEST, was released in the fall of 1998 (Valley Point Music). Already they have been written up in Flash Magazine (Milan, Italy), Fireworks Mag (Wales, U.K.), Stutter Mag (Holland), and on the internet at Delphi's Music Fandom, and Listen.com. They're currently touring in the NYC, tri-state area and are working on their next Album, which will be released in early 2001.
